Poland marks 85th anniversary of WWII Jedwabne pogrom of Jews amid far-right protests
Polish and Jewish leaders, along with diplomats, marked the 85th anniversary of the 1941 Jedwabne pogrom, in which hundreds of Jews were killed by Polish neighbours under Nazi-German occupation. The official commemorations were met with protests by nationalist activists led by far-right figure Grzegorz Braun, who disputed the established findings and argued Poles are being falsely blamed for Nazi-German crimes.
