Editorial Standards

How work gets from a contributor to a published page on Banx Network.

Last updated: 26 August 2026

1. Who we are

Banx Network is a decentralized media platform operated by Banx Computer Systems & Communication Equipment Software Design - FZCO. Our journalism is produced by a network of independent, verified contributors rather than by a single salaried newsroom. Every article, regardless of who submits it, passes through the same review process described on this page before it becomes publicly visible.

Editorial responsibility for everything published on this site rests with Naim Dalloul, Editor-in-Chief.

2. Who may contribute

Contributors must register and be verified before they can submit work. Verified contributors may submit up to 3 articles per day. This cap is deliberate: it exists to keep submission volume within the capacity of genuine human review, and it is enforced by the platform rather than by policy alone.

Contributors publish under their own name. Anonymous and pseudonymous submissions are not accepted for news reporting.

3. Sourcing

Reporting must be grounded in identifiable sources. We ask contributors to work from primary sources — official statements, documents, first-hand interviews, on-the-record comment, or direct observation — wherever those are available.

Where an article relies on reporting first published elsewhere, that outlet must be named and linked in the body of the article. Presenting another publication's reporting as original work is grounds for removal of the article and termination of the contributor account.

Claims that cannot be attributed to a named or clearly characterised source are removed at review. Where a significant fact rests on a single source, the article says so.

4. Automated screening

Before an article reaches a human editor, it is screened automatically for:

  • Plagiarism. Submissions are checked against published sources. Material that reproduces existing text without attribution is rejected.
  • Credibility signals. Each submission is scored on factors including sourcing, attribution, internal consistency, and the contributor's prior record. The resulting Credibility Score is displayed on the published article.

Automated screening is a filter, not a decision. A passing score does not publish an article on its own, and it never substitutes for the human review described below.

5. Human editorial review

Every submission that clears automated screening is reviewed by a member of our editorial team before publication. Nothing on this site is auto-published.

At review, an editor checks that:

  • the central claims are supported by the sources cited;
  • sources are named, or their basis for anonymity is explained;
  • the headline is supported by the body of the article;
  • the piece adds something beyond what is already published elsewhere;
  • images are correctly licensed and accurately captioned;
  • any conflict of interest has been disclosed.

An editor may approve the article, return it to the contributor with required changes, or reject it. Rejected work is not published.

6. Use of artificial intelligence

AI tools may be used by contributors to assist with research, translation, transcription, copy-editing and formatting. They are not permitted to originate reporting.

Where AI tools have been used in the preparation of an article beyond routine copy-editing, that use is disclosed on the article itself.

No article is published on the basis of AI output alone. Every article is reviewed by a human editor who is accountable for it, and the factual claims in an AI-assisted article are verified against sources in exactly the same way as any other submission.

7. Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. Our process for reporting and handling them is set out in our Corrections Policy.

8. Independence

Contributors are rewarded in BXE tokens for published work. Rewards are paid for publication, never for the conclusions an article reaches, and no advertiser, sponsor or token holder has any role in editorial decisions. This is set out in full on our Ownership & Funding page.
