1. Nature of the Platform

Banx Media is a decentralized, blockchain-integrated publishing and media platform operated by Banx Technologies FZCO, enabling public contributors to publish independent news, articles, and multimedia content.

The platform functions solely as a digital distribution and publication system, not as a financial, trading, or investment service.

The only blockchain-based transactions conducted through Banx Media are the BXE reward distributions sent directly to verified authors as compensation for content creation. Banx Media does not process, promote, or facilitate any purchases, trades, or investments in BXE or any other cryptocurrency.

2. Investment & Financial Disclaimer

• Banx Media and Banx Technologies do not provide financial, legal, or investment advice.
• We do not recommend, endorse, or encourage the purchase or investment of any cryptocurrency, including BXE.
• All information on the platform is for informational and editorial purposes only.
• Users who choose to interact with digital assets or perform external transactions do so entirely at their own risk. Banx Media and Banx Technologies assume no responsibility or liability for any financial gain, loss, or decision made based on any article, comment, or publication.
• All digital asset purchases, trades, or interactions occur outside the Banx ecosystem via independent, third-party platforms. Banx Media has no control over these services and accepts no responsibility for their performance or security.

3. Content Submission and Ownership

Upon submission or publication of any article, post, video, or media (“Content”) on Banx Media, the author irrevocably transfers all ownership rights of that Content to Banx Media / Banx Technologies.

This transfer includes, but is not limited to, the following rights:

• Full ownership of the work, including moral and economic rights;
• The right to modify, edit, translate, or adapt the content for any medium;
• The right to publish, distribute, display, sublicense, monetize, license, or syndicate the content globally;
• The right to use the content for marketing, promotional, archival, or educational purposes without limitation;
• The right to transfer or assign these rights to any affiliate, partner, or future entity under Banx Technologies.

Authors understand and agree that no ownership, royalty, or residual claim shall exist following publication. Banx Media’s decision to publish, edit, or remove content is final and non-negotiable.

All submitted content becomes the intellectual property of Banx Technologies FZCO immediately upon publication.

4. Author Compensation

• Authors may be eligible to receive BXE token rewards for published content.
• These rewards are one-time payments and do not represent ownership, profit-sharing, employment, or partnership rights within Banx Technologies or Banx Media.
• All token rewards are non-refundable, non-reversible, and not guaranteed in value. Banx Media reserves the right to modify, delay, or discontinue token reward programs at any time.

5. Accuracy and Responsibility of Published Material

• Banx Media operates as an open community platform. All content is user-generated and reflects the personal opinions and research of the individual authors, not Banx Media or Banx Technologies.
• We do not verify, fact-check, or guarantee the accuracy of any published content.
• We are not responsible for misinformation, factual errors, or misleading statements contained in articles.
• Readers are advised to independently verify all information before making any decisions based on platform content.
• The views expressed on Banx Media do not represent the official position or endorsement of Banx Technologies, its affiliates, or its partners.

6. Rights to Edit, Remove, or Restrict

Banx Media retains complete editorial control over all content on the platform.

We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

• Edit, update, or format published content;
• Remove any content deemed misleading, defamatory, unlawful, or harmful;
• Restrict, suspend, or terminate contributor access for violations of platform policies or applicable law.

Banx Media has no obligation to provide justification or appeal mechanisms for such actions.

7. Limitation of Liability

• To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: Banx Media, Banx Technologies, its officers, directors, affiliates, and employees shall not be liable for any damages, including financial loss, data corruption, reputational harm, or consequential damages resulting from use of the platform.
• Banx Media does not guarantee continuous service, accuracy of published content, or availability of any features or blockchain connections.
• All users access and use the platform entirely at their own risk.

8. Indemnification

By using Banx Media, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Banx Technologies FZCO, its subsidiaries, officers, partners, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from:

• Content you submit or publish;
• Your use or misuse of the platform;
• Violation of this Policy or applicable laws;
• Any dispute between authors, readers, or third parties.

9. Intellectual Property & Trademark Protection

All trademarks, brand names, and service marks, including Banx Media, Banx Technologies, and Banx Network, are the exclusive property of Banx Technologies FZCO. Unauthorized use, reproduction, imitation, or reference without written consent is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

10. Amendments and Enforcement

• Banx Technologies reserves the right to amend or update this Policy at any time without prior notice.
• All modifications become effective immediately upon publication on the platform.
• Continued use of Banx Media constitutes full acceptance of all updated terms and waives any prior claims or conditions.

12. Information We Collect

12.1 Account & Identity Data

• Name, email address, and profile information you provide when registering via Auth0.
• Social login tokens (Google, etc.) if you choose to authenticate through a third-party identity provider.
• Profile photo and biographical details you voluntarily add to your contributor profile.

12.2 Blockchain & Wallet Data

• XRP Ledger wallet address when you connect a Xaman (XUMM) wallet to receive BXE token rewards.
• Transaction identifiers and payload data generated during XUMM signing sessions.
• On-chain transaction records associated with your wallet address (these are public by nature of the XRP Ledger).

12.3 Content You Submit

• Articles, posts, videos, images, and other media you upload or publish through the platform.
• Live broadcast streams and associated chat messages.
• Files uploaded to Azure Blob Storage and content pinned to IPFS via Pinata.

12.4 Usage & Technical Data

• IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Pages visited, articles read, and features used, including timestamps.
• Referral URLs and search terms that brought you to the platform.
• WebSocket and Server-Sent Event (SSE) connection data during live broadcasts and real-time chat.

12.5 Location & Preference Data

• Approximate country-level location derived from IP address via Vercel geo-IP headers, stored in aUSER_COUNTRY cookie, used solely to personalise content ranking.
• Locale preference stored in a NEXT_LOCALE cookie (English, French, or Arabic) to remember your language choice.
• Interest profile built from article topics you read, stored in a browser cookie with automatic decay; used only to personalise your content feed on-device.
• Xaman (xApp) session context flag, preserved across navigation when accessing the platform from within the Xaman wallet app.

13. How We Use Your Information

• Platform operation: authenticating your account, enabling content publishing, and delivering live broadcasts.
• BXE token rewards: sending one-time reward payments to your XRP Ledger wallet address for published content.
• Content personalisation: ranking articles and news based on your approximate location and reading interests.
• Localisation: serving the platform in your preferred language (English, French, or Arabic).
• Security & fraud prevention: detecting misuse, unauthorised access, and policy violations.
• Legal compliance: fulfilling obligations under applicable law and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
• Platform improvement: analysing aggregated, anonymised usage data to improve features and performance.
• Communications: sending transactional emails (account verification, policy updates) through Auth0; we do not send unsolicited marketing emails.

14. How We Store Your Data

• Authentication data is stored and managed by Auth0 (a Okta company) on their secure, SOC 2-certified infrastructure.
• Uploaded media files are stored in Microsoft Azure Blob Storage, protected by Azure's enterprise-grade security controls.
• Decentralised content is pinned to the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) via Pinata. Once published to IPFS, content is publicly addressable by its content hash and cannot be deleted from the decentralised network.
• Session and caching data is stored in Azure Cache for Redis with appropriate access controls and time-to-live expiry.
• Blockchain records (wallet addresses and transaction IDs) are permanently and publicly recorded on the XRP Ledger, an open blockchain network, and cannot be deleted by Banx Media.
• Preference cookies are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers beyond each page request.
• We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us at admin@banxchange.com.

15. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as described below, with the following categories of parties:

15.1 Service Providers (data processors acting on our behalf)

15.2 Public Blockchain Networks

When BXE token rewards are issued, your XRP Ledger wallet address and the transaction record are permanently written to the public XRP Ledger blockchain. This information is visible to anyone and cannot be removed.

15.3 Legal & Safety Disclosures

We may disclose information to government authorities, regulators, or law enforcement when required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Banx Technologies, users, or the public.

15.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred to the successor entity. We will provide notice before any such transfer and before your data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

We use the following cookies. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling functional cookies may affect language preferences and content personalisation.

17. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including: access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your account data (subject to legal retention obligations and blockchain immutability), data portability, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@banxchange.com. We will respond within 30 days. Note that data already written to the XRP Ledger or IPFS cannot be altered or deleted due to the immutable nature of those networks.

18. Children's Privacy

The platform is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 where required by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at admin@banxchange.com and we will delete it promptly.

19. International Data Transfers

Banx Technologies FZCO is incorporated in the UAE. Our service providers operate infrastructure globally, including in the United States and European Union. When personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the data protection agreements maintained by those providers (including Auth0 / Okta and Microsoft Azure) to ensure adequate protection of your data.

20. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this section. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
