US General to Oversee Transfer of Hamas Weapons to Gaza Government, ISF

Israel and the United States reached an understanding for Hamas’s disarmament process, with weapons handed over in the initial stage to Gaza’s proposed National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) and the International Stabilization Force (ISF). U.S. Maj.-Gen. Jasper Jeffers, who leads the ISF, will oversee the transfer mechanism. The arrangement was discussed during a meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior officials from the U.S.-backed Board of Peace.
