Police say Batarti Gabbard, the brother of former National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, was arrested and charged after a “stranger danger” incident at a Waikiki hotel pool. Authorities allege that on July 12 he approached several children, including a 9-year-old boy, offering them gum and money and inviting them to his hotel room. Police say he also asked for the children’s names and wrote them down, but the children refused and he left. He was charged with custodial interference in the second degree.
