Pentagon says execution of Fort Hood shooter will be livestreamed

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell announced that President Donald Trump approved the execution of Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan, convicted in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting. Acting Army Secretary Adam Telle set the execution for Dec. 3 at Fort Hood, Texas, by firing squad. Hasan killed 13 people and wounded 32 in the attack. This would mark the first U.S. military execution since 1961. Reports do not confirm a livestream; the Army has not detailed media access at this time.
