A massive section of mountainside collapsed into Nepal’s swollen Kali Gandaki River after days of heavy rainfall, sending debris rushing into the water. The dramatic incident occurred near Lete in Mustang District, where residents reportedly watched and shouted as the slope gave way. The river was briefly blocked before cutting through the debris and resuming its flow. Authorities are assessing damage across several districts, where floods and landslides have killed at least 24 people, left 14 missing, and damaged homes, roads, bridges, and power infrastructure.
