Ex-fiancé of Rep. Nancy Mace and 2 others charged with sex crimes she described in House speech

Patrick Bryant, Rep. Nancy Mace’s former fiancé, and business associate Eric Bernard Bowman face voyeurism charges. John Douglas Osborne is charged with first-degree assault and battery and two counts of criminal sexual conduct. Investigators allege Osborne assaulted an incapacitated 23-year-old woman in 2018 while Bryant and Bowman watched and recorded. Bowman also faces charges of obstruction and publishing the victim’s name. The men’s charges follow Mace’s 2025 House speech about the alleged incident. The charges are allegations; the defendants’ responses were not immediately available.
