Texas DA says ICE intentionally hit immigrant with a car and may have withheld evidence

Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare says videos gathered by local investigators make it “pretty obvious” that an ICE officer intentionally struck Miguel Parra Hernandez with a Jeep in Houston. Teare said the incident could support an aggravated-assault charge and that ICE had not cooperated with the county investigation. He also raised concerns that vehicle-crash data may have been lost after the agent drove the vehicle away. ICE denies the strike was intentional, saying Parra Hernandez ran in front of its vehicle.
