EVs have overtaken gas and diesel in Germany for the first time, taking the top spot in June registrations. Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) reported 84,057 new electric cars registered last month, representing 78.2% year-on-year growth and a 28.4% market share. Hybrids closely followed with 83,315 registrations. Gasoline cars fell to 60,796 and diesel to 33,862, while plug-in hybrids posted 32,212. Total new car registrations rose 15.7% to 296,378.
