Denmark signed a contract with Norway’s Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace for a Naval Strike Missile Coastal Defence System, valued at more than €100 million. The land-based batteries are intended to strengthen protection of strategic waters, including the Danish Straits and western Baltic Sea. Denmark had earlier ordered ship-launched Naval Strike Missiles for its Iver Huitfeldt-class frigates. The coastal system adds a separate, shore-based capability to counter naval threats. First deliveries are expected in 2026, according to the Danish defence procurement organization.
