Latvian Interior Minister Jānis Dombrava said unidentified, armed and masked intruders crossed from Belarus into Latvia and sabotaged border surveillance infrastructure. They disabled an electrical distribution cabinet and stole cameras, then returned to Belarus before a Latvian patrol arrived. Hours earlier, armed individuals on the Belarusian side had threatened Latvian National Armed Forces personnel while forcing more than 20 migrants toward the border, Dombrava said. He called the episode an unusually blatant and aggressive provocation. The circumstances and identities of those involved were not specified.
