The World Food Programme is reducing the number of people it assists in Gaza from 1.6 million to 1.1 million, leaving about 500,000 without support. The agency is also halving food rations, cutting daily hot meals from 250,000 to 150,000, and reducing cash assistance for 75,000 families. WFP says the cuts reflect severe funding shortages, not a decrease in need. It urgently needs $450 million to sustain operations in Gaza and the West Bank over the next six months.
