The official said Iranian Revolutionary Guard personnel had been preparing rocket launchers to fire sea mines into the strategically important waterway. Iran confirmed that the island was attacked and said several military personnel and civilians were killed or wounded, without providing a precise toll. The IRGC condemned the strike as an act of aggression and vowed that those responsible would face “response and punishment.”
