Ukraine’s Starshield Access Remains Crippled, With No One Accepting Responsibility

Eleven days after Ukrainian Starshield terminals began malfunctioning, military sources said the system’s speed restrictions were still disrupting drone operations. A Ukrainian defense official reported connectivity losses at speeds above 161 kilometers per hour. President Donald Trump said the restrictions had been lifted, but a senior Ukrainian official told the Kyiv Independent that “there’s no change anywhere.” Trump administration officials have denied ordering the limits, while Elon Musk has said the U.S. government controls Starshield.
