British police have charged two Iranian nationals with allegedly preparing a terrorist attack against Manchester’s Jewish community. Rahman Salehi and Salam Ahmadyan were arrested on the eve of Yom Kippur and accused of researching targets, conducting surveillance, and obtaining materials for a possible homemade chlorine bomb. Investigators say the men were in contact with an overseas third party who may be in Iran. Neither has entered a plea, and police say there is no ongoing threat to the public currently.
