Former Polish police officer Sylwia Szary challenged Confederation leader Sławomir Mentzen to take the physical fitness tests required of police recruits. Her invitation followed Mentzen’s mocking comments about the recruitment of 65 women to the Lower Silesian police force. Szary argued that gender should not determine whether someone can protect the public and urged Mentzen to demonstrate his own abilities. Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński backed the challenge, saying he hoped the far-right politician would accept the invitation without hesitation.
