Two Iranian nationals appeared in a British court after being charged with preparing or assisting a terrorist act allegedly targeting Manchester’s Jewish community. Rahman Salehi and Salam Ahmadyan were arrested on September 20, before Yom Kippur. Prosecutors say they conducted reconnaissance of potential targets, possessed components for an improvised explosive device, and communicated with an overseas contact who may be in Iran.
