Two charged over UK air base incident; one accused of aiding Iranian intelligence

Two men have been charged under Britain’s National Security Act after a September incident near RAF Fairford, a U.S.-used base in Gloucestershire. Police say Mohmed Abdulkarim, 24, is accused of conduct likely to assist a foreign intelligence service, believed to be Iran. Nouman Essghir, 24, faces a charge of entering a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the UK. Both were due in court on October 27. Six others arrested in connection with the case remain on police bail. The allegations have not been tested in court
