U.S. President Donald Trump said he expects to host China’s Xi Jinping around Sept. 24, a date that would fall during the UN General Assembly period in New York. Trump floated the timing while talking about construction of a new White House ballroom, noting it could accommodate thousands for Xi. He is scheduled to speak to the General Assembly on Sept. 22 and typically spends several nights in New York to meet other leaders. Neither side has confirmed Xi’s visit.
