Trump says Houthis trying to increase oil prices before US elections

US President Donald Trump accused Yemen’s Houthi movement of deliberately trying to raise oil prices before the November 3 midterm elections. In a social media post, he said the Houthis were acting, likely at Iran’s behest, and warned he would not forget their attacks on Saudi Arabia. The accusations followed Houthi strikes on Saudi targets, including Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport. The attacks have heightened concerns about oil supplies and shipping through the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.
