Thieves Steal 30,000 Wine Bottles Worth €5 Million from Italian Winery

The theft took place at a Marchesi Antinori storage facility in Tuscany on Saturday, October 3, as the winery prepared an overseas shipment. At least seven masked people reportedly disabled alarms and surveillance cameras, then used company forklifts to load two trucks with Tignanello, Solaia and Guado al Tasso wines. The stolen bottles are estimated to be worth about €5 million. Staff discovered the loss on Monday morning. No arrests have been reported, and the winery has warned customers to avoid offers outside official sales channels.
