Tesla’s labor dispute in Sweden—described as the country’s longest modern strike—ended after nearly three years. The IF Metall union said it will suspend industrial action Aug. 19 because Tesla bought out all workers still on strike, leaving the union with no remaining members to represent. The walkout began in October 2023 over Tesla’s refusal to sign a Swedish collective bargaining agreement covering mechanics. The dispute also triggered broader sympathy actions across Scandinavia, which Tesla mostly worked around. Terms and buyout costs were not disclosed.
