Szczecin, Poland— A fight that spilled out of a nightclub onto the sidewalk in Szczecin left one man dead and two others wounded from stab wounds in the early hours of October 20, 2026.
Security staff called police at 1:14 a.m. The brawl had started inside the club near the bar, then moved outside when bouncers ejected several men. Witnesses said at least six people were involved. Someone pulled a knife.
The 27-year-old victim was found lying near the entrance, with a deep chest wound. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate him for nearly 20 minutes. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men, aged 23 and 29, were taken to hospital with stab injuries to the abdomen and back. One required emergency surgery.
Police closed the street and kept the club's crowd inside for questioning. Bottles and broken glass were scattered across the pavement. Officers collected a folding knife with blood on the blade near a parked car.
"The dispute escalated very quickly from fists to a deadly weapon," a Szczecin police spokesperson said. "We have secured extensive CCTV from inside the venue and from neighboring premises. We know who was involved."
Club management said the victims and the attackers had been arguing over a spilled drink. The security team said they had already warned the group once. "They were aggressive from the start. We tried to calm it down," one bouncer told investigators.
The prosecutor has classified the case as homicide. Detectives interviewed the DJ, bar staff, and more than a dozen patrons. Several people filmed the fight on phones. That footage has been handed to police.
No formal arrests were announced by dawn, but police said two persons of interest were being sought and that their identities are known. Patrols were increased in the city center nightlife zone.
The club remained closed Monday pending inspection. The body was transported for autopsy.
