Ukrainian officials say SpaceX introduced speed limits on Starlink terminals used by the country’s military without advance warning. The connection reportedly drops when drones or other assets travel faster than 160 km/h, disrupting several missions and making drones harder to control. Officials say the restrictions are also affecting frontline logistics, reconnaissance and communications relays. A Ukrainian military unit reported cancelling planned operations. Kyiv is investigating the cause and has contacted SpaceX and US officials for clarification. SpaceX had not publicly commented on the reported restrictions.
