Veteran Arab lawmaker Ahmad Tibi says the Joint List is prepared to support parties seeking to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while remaining outside the government. Tibi urged opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot to follow former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin’s example of relying on Arab lawmakers’ support. The Joint List won 11 Knesset seats in the election. Party chairman Yousef Jabareen said preliminary contacts with opposition leaders had begun.
