Russia’s Ballistic Attack on Kyiv Shows the Cost of Trump-Putin Diesel Deal, Zelenskyy Says

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said a Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv showed the danger of the diesel agreement announced by U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Russia had also launched drones at Ukrainian energy infrastructure, Zelenskyy said. A missile struck a restaurant in Kyiv’s Obolonskyi district, starting a fire and injuring four people; one was in serious condition, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Zelenskyy argued that revenue from Russian fuel exports would help finance Moscow’s military and urged partners not to ease pressure on Russia.
