Serbian Government Accused of Restricting Overseas Voting for Thousands

Serbia’s Republic Electoral Commission approved polling locations abroad for the October 25 parliamentary election, drawing criticism from the Student List, the main opposition force. The group said the limited number and placement of polling stations would make it difficult for tens of thousands of Serbians abroad to cast ballots. The commission said its decision followed recommendations from the Foreign Ministry. More than 100,000 citizens abroad registered to vote.
