Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in India for the 2026 BRICS summit, where war, energy security and global trade are expected to dominate discussions. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian are also attending, alongside leaders from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to hold bilateral talks with Putin and Pezeshkian. The summit will test the expanded group’s unity as members balance competing positions on conflicts in Iran and Ukraine
