Germany has ordered more than 150 employees of Russian diplomatic missions and their family members to leave the country after accusing Moscow of responsibility for an attempted drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport. The explosives-laden drone was found near a Ukrainian aircraft on August 4 and was defused. Russia denies involvement and calls the accusation fabricated. Berlin’s move follows the closure of Russia’s consulate in Bonn and the Russian House cultural center, prompting Moscow to announce reciprocal measures against German institutions.
