The violent assaults targeted rural communities across the Barkin Ladi, Bokkos, and Mangu Local Government Areas. Armed assailants launched late-night and early-morning raids on vulnerable villages, ambushing residents, setting homes ablaze, and causing widespread panic despite the heightened security deployment.

The deadly outbreak occurs despite a dusk-to-dawn curfew enforced by the state government aimed at restoring order and preventing further loss of life. Eyewitnesses and local community representatives reported that heavily armed groups bypassed security checkpoints, carrying out targeted raids on rural settlements under the cover of night.
