Pentagon says the firing squad execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan will be livestreamed

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Nidal Malik Hasan’s execution is scheduled for Dec. 3 at Fort Hood, Texas, and would be public. Pentagon officials clarified that the execution will be livestreamed, with further details to come. Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, was convicted of killing 13 people and wounding 32 in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting. President Donald Trump approved the execution, according to Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell. Hasan would be the first U.S. servicemember executed by firing squad since World War II.
