Pentagon Plans to Hold Report on Iran School Strike Past November Midterms

Pentagon officials reportedly plan to delay the completed investigation into the February 28 strike on Minab’s Shajarah Tayyebeh Elementary School until after November’s midterms. The attack killed more than 150 people, including at least 123 children. Investigators reportedly identified flawed intelligence, outdated imagery, and overreliance on AI as contributing factors. No final disclosure date has been set, and the Pentagon says the probe remains ongoing. Lawmakers are pressing for transparency, with proposed legislation seeking to require release of the final report publicly.
