Organizer of Protests Supporting Ex-Defense Minister Fedorov Detained as Social Media Accounts Are Compromised

The organizer of protests supporting former Ukrainian defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Vitalii Kamka, has been detained, according to human-rights monitoring group ZMINA. ZMINA reports that a Telegram chat used to coordinate demonstrations was deleted after Kamka’s detention, and Kamka alleges that an investigator gained access to his account, posted a message he says he did not write, and then deleted the chat. The report says the message appeared after 18:00 on 7 August, and social posts soon followed about his arrest.
