WEST BRIDGFORD, Nottinghamshire — A quiet afternoon turned into a scene of intense emergency activity on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 after nine people were rushed to the hospital following a sudden "medical emergency" at a local primary school.

Emergency crews descended on Jesse Gray Primary School in West Bridgford after a high-priority call was placed shortly after 1:30 p.m. Witness reports indicated a heavy presence of first responders, with multiple police cars, ambulance crews, and specialty medical units lining the streets outside the school gates.

The East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) confirmed the scale of the deployment, revealing that the situation required advanced medical resources.

"The caller reported a medical emergency," an EMAS spokesperson said. "We sent a number of resources including paramedics in ambulance cars, crewed ambulances, and our hazardous area response team (HART)."
