Netanyahu Orders West Bank Closure After Five Israelis Wounded in Shooting Attack

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered security forces to cordon off Hebron and prepare for a full closure of the occupied West Bank after a shooting near the city wounded five people. Israel’s military said it killed two Palestinians it accused of carrying out the attack. Emergency responders said at least two of the wounded were in critical condition; their identities were not immediately clear. Netanyahu blamed Hamas, but did not provide details supporting his claim. The closure order came days before Israel’s election.
