More Than Half of Ukrainians Say Zelensky Should Not Run for President Again, Poll Says

A Kyiv International Institute of Sociology poll finds that 53% of Ukrainians believe President Volodymyr Zelensky should serve only one term, up from 46% in December 2025. Forty-two percent support his participation in the next election, while 5% remain undecided. The survey also found that 71% oppose holding elections during wartime. Researchers linked support for another Zelensky candidacy closely to public trust, while noting broader demands for political renewal after the war. The poll surveyed 1,002 adults in government-controlled areas.
