Melbourne Dad Dies Days After Savage Assault Outside Primary School

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — A Melbourne community has been plunged into mourning after a 41-year-old father succumbed to critical head injuries days after being brutally assaulted just meters from a primary school gate during afternoon pick-up.

The victim, identified by devastated family and friends as local resident David Campbell, passed away peacefully at the Royal Melbourne Hospital on Thursday morning, June 18, 2026 with his wife by his side.
