Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs is poised to remain in office after his centrist United List won a decisive parliamentary victory. With 97% of ballots counted, the party held 35.3%, securing 42 of Parliament’s 100 seats. Kulbergs is expected to form a pro-Ukraine coalition with either the nationalist National Alliance or liberal Progressives. He pledged continued military support for Kyiv, tougher defenses against Russia, and spending five percent of GDP on defense, while promising reforms and less bureaucracy at home
