Iran Says 31 Arrested Over Alleged Plans Linked to Nationwide Protest Calls

Iranian authorities say they arrested 31 people in Kerman province after dismantling four networks allegedly preparing sabotage and unrest. The Intelligence Ministry claimed the suspects were linked to the United States and Israel and had sought to encourage nationwide protests by targeting young people. Officials said investigators found Molotov cocktails and equipment intended to disable surveillance cameras. The ministry also connected some suspects to violent unrest in December 2025, including attacks on government buildings, banks, property, and a police station.
