Greenland Energy Postpones Winter Drilling After Landing Gear “Without Permission”

Greenland Energy says it is postponing winter oil drilling after Greenland authorities warned the company moved landing gear and equipment without proper permission. The dispute centers on preparations for a project in eastern Greenland near the Jameson Land Basin. Greenland’s government issued a strong warning and said future logistical arrangements must be notified and approved by the Mineral Resources Authority before they are carried out. Greenland Energy said it will comply with Greenland’s regulations and expects required approvals by winter 2027.
