Police in Aurora, Colorado, arrested a GEO Group employee accused of shooting and injuring a woman during a protest outside the Aurora ICE Processing Center. Authorities said the shooting happened Thursday evening near the facility on Oakland Street. The accused employee, Brandon Booth, 42, was charged with assault and attempted murder, according to police. Investigators said Booth retrieved a personally owned handgun and fired a single shot, hitting one of the two women involved in the confrontation. The victim’s injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
