French ambassador to CAR investigated after claims he hosted dozens of women

France has opened disciplinary proceedings against its ambassador to the Central African Republic, Bruno Foucher, after allegations that he repeatedly brought dozens of women to his official residence in Bangui, raising potential security concerns. An administrative inquiry was carried out earlier this year, with findings prompting the foreign ministry to start formal disciplinary action. Reports said the visits occurred over more than two years and were frequent enough to alarm security staff. Foucher remains in post as proceedings continue.
