France grants Ukraine license to produce missiles and air-defense systems

France has granted Ukraine licenses to produce French-designed weapons, including cruise missiles, precision-guided glide bombs, and air-defense interceptors. French President Emmanuel Macron said the licensing is the first time France has allowed Ukraine to manufacture its weapons on licensed production terms, following agreements with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The move is expected to speed delivery of munitions and support Ukraine’s air-defense needs. Macron also said France plans to transfer radar systems and deliver additional Rafale jets to Ukraine.
