Former SK Hynix Employee Jailed for Leaking Semiconductor Info to Chinese Firm, Yonhap Reports

A former SK Hynix employee was sentenced to 18 months in jail after being found guilty of leaking classified semiconductor manufacturing information to a Chinese firm, Yonhap reported. The Seoul High Court upheld the lower court’s sentence in an appeal case. Prosecutors said the worker, formerly stationed in SK Hynix’s China office, printed out or photographed trade-secret documents downloaded from the company’s internal server. Some details were later included in a resume submitted to a Chinese company, without naming it publicly.
