Iranian sources told Iran International that Ahmadinejad—former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad—had his movement restricted by Iran’s security forces after returning from a trip in northern Iran. The report described the restrictions as part of measures against him in recent months.
Separately, Ahmadinejad has made allegations about Mossad infiltration inside Iranian intelligence. In an interview broadcast by CNN Turk, he claimed that the head of an Iranian secret service unit targeting Mossad agents was himself an Israeli agent, and that additional agents within the unit were also working against Iran, providing Israel with sensitive information.
Those claims were made by Ahmadinejad, and they are distinct from reporting that he was arrested by the IRGC specifically for “work with Mossad."
