European security will be strengthened under a new UK–Estonia defence roadmap that deepens cooperation across defence, industry and military innovation. The agreement, signed in Tallinn by UK Defence Secretary Dan Jarvis and Estonia’s Hanno Pevkur, modernises Britain’s Forward Land Forces in Estonia by transitioning from an Armoured Battlegroup to a Mobile Anti-Armour Force from April 2027. UK troop levels are set to rise from about 800 to 1,200, with highly mobile vehicles, advanced weapons and high-tech drones.
