A Bristol man told a friend he “didn’t mind dying” before travelling on an ISIS-linked “martyr trip,” prosecutors said in court. The prosecution described his communications as expressing readiness for violence and framed his actions as supporting extremist objectives. The defence challenged the interpretation of the messages, arguing the statements were taken out of context. The case focuses on intent, online activity, and the surrounding circumstances of his departure attempt. The court heard evidence from investigators and witness accounts.
