Binance suspended trading and disabled withdrawals after a major cyberattack affecting its cryptocurrency platform. Blockchain analysts linked the theft to TraderTraitor, a North Korean hacking unit, though Binance said it had not confirmed who was responsible. The exchange reported about $6.3 billion in affected assets, while Binance and partners froze roughly $3 billion. Binance said it would cover user losses and reported no evidence that wallet private keys were leaked. Investigators continue tracking the remaining stolen funds across several public blockchains.
