Apalachee High School shooter’s father sentenced to 15 years

Colin Gray, the father of the Apalachee High School shooter, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after his conviction connected him to his teenage son’s attack. Prosecutors said Gray provided the rifle used by his 14-year-old son in the September 2024 shooting that killed two students and two teachers. During sentencing, Judge Nicholas Primm cited warnings that were overlooked and said Gray failed to get his son help or remove access to guns. The case stems from convictions on multiple charges, with several sentences running concurrently.
